  56. This version of QEdit is NOT public domain or free software, but is
  57. being distributed as "shareware".

  59. The QEdit software is owned by Applied Systems Technologies, Inc.
  60. (doing business under the tradename SemWare) or its suppliers and is
  61. protected by United States copyright laws and international treaty
  62. provisions. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or
  63. create derivative works based on the software for any purpose other
  64. than creating an adaptation to the software as an essential step in
  65. its utilization for your own use.  This software embodies valuable
  66. trade secrets proprietary to SemWare; you may not disclose any
  67. information regarding the internal operations of this software to
  68. others.

  70. Non-registered users of this shareware software are granted a
  71. limited license to make an evaluation copy for trial use on a
  72. non-commercial, private basis, for the express purpose of
  73. determining whether QEdit is suitable for their needs.  At the end
  74. of this trial period, you should either register your copy or
  75. discontinue using QEdit.

  77. What does this mean? If you use this program, you should purchase a
  78. license for its use. QEdit is NOT free, and we are not giving away
  79. free copies. We are giving you the opportunity to try it before
  80. paying for it. It is that simple. Try it. Then either pay for it, or
  81. quit using it. Paying for the software product allows SemWare to
  82. provide support and updates, and stay in business. Registered users
  83. receive printed documentation, additional utilities and
  84. configuration files, technical support, update notices, discounts on
  85. future versions, and a version of the program that does NOT show the
  86. opening and closing shareware registration screens.

  89. computers available to you, provided you do not operate QEdit on
  90. more than one computer or terminal at a time and you do not operate
  91. QEdit on a network or a multi-user system.  If you would like a

  94. All users are granted a limited license to copy the SHAREWARE
  95. version of QEdit only for the trial use of others and subject to the
  96. above limitations. This license does NOT include distribution or

  147. A QEdit Advanced registration licenses you to use the product on a
  148. regular basis.  Registration also includes technical support and
  149. notification of updates, and entitles you to access to the
  150. registered user area of our BBS (404-641-8968, N81, 1200/2400/9600
  151. baud, 24 hours a day).

  153. With your registration, you will receive:  a licensed copy of QEdit
  154. Advanced V2.1 with a 90-day limited warranty; a professionally
  155. printed and bound manual, along with a QEdit quick reference card;
  156. additional utilities for use with QEdit.

  158. We offer discounts to educational institutions, full-time students,
  159. BBS sysops, and the Federal government.  Students must include proof
  160. of student status (photocopy of current registration slip or student
  161. ID card).  BBS sysops must supply the name and number of their BBS,
